Meet Toni Garcia Carpenter
Toni Garcia Carpenter is the original Domestic Commando, and is a veteran of two campaigns (Firstborn and Second Born). She has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast production with a double-minor in chemistry and mathematics—and holds a PhD in no-nonsense.
She is the co-author of The Hurricane Handbook: A Practical Guide for Residents of the Hurricane Belt, a book intended for family preparedness. She also has written and produced numerous scripts and episodes for lifestyle and do-it-yourself television shows. She loves to share anything that has helped her be the best she can be.
